HVLS Fan Cooling Installation Project at a Tape Manufacturing Company in Fuzhou
Project Overview
A Fuzhou-based adhesive tape manufacturer specializes in the research, development, and production of various industrial and packaging tapes. Its core production workshop is a concrete-framed structure with a single-floor area of approximately 2,100 square meters, designed as a semi-open space. Prior to the upgrade, the workshop lacked any cooling or ventilation equipment. Due to the semi-open layout, natural airflow was unevenly distributed, leading to a hot, stuffy, and humid interior. Workers frequently experienced fatigue and difficulty concentrating as a result. The company had considered installing air conditioning for cooling, but the semi-open environment would result in significant cool air loss and excessively high operational energy costs. Alternatively, using traditional industrial wall fans would present issues such as limited coverage and high noise levels. After comprehensive evaluation, HVLS Fan Cooling from Aolan was selected as the most economical and efficient solution, thanks to its advantages of "low energy consumption, wide coverage, and powerful ventilation."

Operation Mode
Based on the workshop layout and functional requirements, the project team developed an installation plan following the principle of "zoning by layer and configuring based on demand." A total of 10 Aolan industrial HVLS Fan Cooling units were deployed. On the first floor, which includes production and living areas, seven units were installed: six with a diameter of 3.7 meters in the main production zones, and one with a diameter of 5 meters in the dining and rest area to accommodate concentrated activity during lunch and break times. On the second floor, one HVLS Fan Cooling unit with a diameter of 5 meters was installed in the auxiliary area, primarily serving the auxiliary materials warehouse and quality inspection office to alleviate stuffiness and improve comfort for support staff. On the third floor, two HVLS Fan Cooling units with a diameter of 5 meters were installed in the product storage area to meet air circulation and cooling needs.

Results Demonstration
After the installation of the HVLS Fan Cooling system, the feeling of stuffiness was significantly reduced, and air circulation improved noticeably. Worker fatigue caused by heat decreased, concentration increased, and overall work performance improved. The overall comfort level in the workshop was enhanced, while the low-energy operation helped the company reduce costs, achieving both cooling and energy-saving benefits.
