Ventilation and Cooling Project for the Injection Molding Workshop of a New Materials Company in Anhui
Project Overview
A high-tech automotive parts manufacturing enterprise in Anhui operates a steel-structured injection molding workshop. Due to the high thermal conductivity of steel, the structure readily absorbs and transfers heat indoors during summer, causing significant temperature spikes. Additionally, heat generated by injection molding equipment further exacerbates the issue. Despite the workshop’s semi-open design, its large span results in poor natural ventilation, leading to persistently high temperatures that negatively impact employee productivity.
Operation Mode
The design employs 154 Aolan Multi-Series evaporative air coolers and 32 heavy-duty industrial ceiling fans to address these challenges.
Evaporative coolers are installed on the northern and southern walls of the workshop. Cooled air generated by these units is delivered indoors, while booster fans and industrial ceiling fans optimize airflow distribution. Booster fans are positioned at workstation areas to provide targeted cooling. Industrial ceiling fans are mounted in open central zones under each beam span, leveraging their powerful airflow to evenly disperse cool air. Hot, humid air is expelled through open doors and windows, accelerating air exchange to enhance cooling efficiency.
Seasonal Operation: The system operates in evaporative cooling mode during spring, summer, and autumn. It remains inactive in winter.
Results Demonstration
Scheduled for commissioning in 2025, initial tests confirm stable performance, with cooler outlet temperatures maintained at 26–30°C and workshop temperatures reduced by 8–10°C in target zones. The system significantly improves indoor air quality, mitigates heat stress, and elevates employee comfort, achieving all project objectives.
