Hangzhou Scientific Research Center Liquid Desiccant Air Conditioning Project
Project Overview
The Hangzhou National Laboratory, located in Zhejiang Province, is the only national-level laboratory in the province. With a total construction area of approximately 1.017 million square meters, it serves as a core platform supporting high-end scientific research. The stability of its environment directly affects the reliability of experimental data and the safety of samples. Hangzhou experiences a subtropical monsoon climate, characterized by high temperatures and heavy rainfall in summer, and cold, damp winters. The year-round high humidity poses significant challenges to the laboratory's building moisture load and air conditioning system, potentially leading to experimental interruptions, data invalidation, or sample degradation.

Operation Mode
The project employs 34 sets of Aolan heat pump counterflow liquid desiccant air conditioning units. These include various models such as precooling fresh air units, heat recovery fresh air units, and precooling full-air units. The system utilizes multiple strategies, including fresh air regeneration and indoor exhaust air heat recovery. Through independent temperature and humidity control, it meets the precise environmental requirements of the laboratory, maximizes energy utilization, and reduces annual operational energy consumption.
The project has implemented a remote monitoring and management system. Device settings and operational status can be uploaded to the cloud, enabling enhanced performance monitoring and ensuring normal operation.

Results Demonstration
The installation and initial commissioning of this project were largely completed in 2025. Operational testing has confirmed that the system meets the specified temperature and humidity requirements within the designated areas. This establishes a solid environmental foundation for the laboratory to consistently produce high-quality scientific research outcomes.
